Conversation with Cathy Perez (Part 2)

Another beautiful and an informative conversation with Cathy Perez, a certified wellness coach, on what is called ‘the KonMari Method of organizing’ … she just shared “a peek a boo” during our last conversation! It is not simply de- cluttering it is a path to wellness while paying attention or listening to the inner voice that “sparks joy”. Many philosophies and spiritual practices must evolve with time to suit the needs and understanding of the people at the time.. The KonMari Method seems to be a combination of the best ... for the purpose it was created. Cathy is a Certified KonMari Organizing Consultant and explains the approach to this method is the relationship we have with our possessions, everything around us. She shares about Marie Kondo’s philosophy, who is the creator of the ‘KonMari Technique of organizing;’ that is based on our relationship with our space and everything around us with gratitude. She has simplified it through 5 categories which Cathy explains briefly. The techniques help us to recognize that feeling. Do these ‘items’ spark some joy, developing a connection with the heart and the brain? Feel the connection , do a “joy check”. Give them a “home”, have gratitude for our things so when we give them away we do not have the feeing of guilt. What is more beautiful is the concept of “ gratitude and the practice of guilt cannot live in the same space” . This emotion itself helps us to let go of “items / things” which you may not be using and not comfortable giving them away. It goes beyond simply tidying up our space, it transforms our thoughts and our physical self for sure . - here’s a little more : bit.ly/3gUX8TB You can contact Cathy via Facebook Messenger: m.me/cathyhannahperez Trust the Universe, let's stay healthy, fit and happy but sometimes we need help...
