Daria, a seasoned practitioner and teacher for over a decade, has studied various forms of practice, including; Yoga, Yoga Philosophy, Meditation, Breathwork, Vedic Counselling, Positive and Eastern Psychology, Pilates, Face Yoga, pre- and post-natal modalities, Yoga Therapy and more. Daria feels blessed to have the disciplines of TKV Desikachar (son of Sri Krishnamacharya) as her close teachers, who observe, guide and heal continuously. Daria's thoughts: "How I describe spirituality, one of the core wellness branches is that it is the big worries, the global worries, something much bigger than yourself, family and community. The expansion of a person can serve a much bigger cause, on a day to day - environment, global warming, our daily habits that influence that. But it is anything that is much bigger than yourself - how can we have world peace? How can I change myself and my inner world for that to positively influence my immediate surroundings, family, community? Religion is devotional to Divine. That element of surrender, after you do all you can, you devote your efforts. Spirituality can become spiritual bypassing (define), while spirituality and religion are not the same, good vibes come from the individual - good deeds, when we are at our High self, we serve something greater than us, then it all happens through us. It is Divine, can be Nature, can be a God. There is a level of responsibility for having this life, how someone defines and connects to that responsibility is unique, we would do well to respect that uniqueness. Just as we exercise our bodies to get stronger, strengthening our minds and resiliency thresholds also takes practice.
